Infios & AWS bring AI-driven automation to retail supply chains

Fri, 7th Nov 2025

Infios has announced a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring agentic artificial intelligence capabilities to supply chain execution for retail customers.

The partnership will see generative AI agents integrated into Infios Order Management (Infios OM), enhancing the system used by retailers such as Officeworks, Myer, and Super Retail Group. The collaboration leverages AI technologies from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre, including Amazon Bedrock and Strands Agents, to support end-to-end supply chain execution.

AI integration

Infios OM is used to manage and coordinate supply chain processes, addressing requirements related to speed, convenience, and shifting market demands. The incorporation of AI aims to automate and improve these processes, offering advanced anomaly detection, real-time order rebalancing, and predictive delivery timing.

Eugene Amigud, Chief Innovation Officer at Infios, outlined the intentions behind the partnership.

"Together with AWS, we're redefining what order management can do for customers. We're building intelligent agents that now proactively detect and resolve anomalies during fulfilment, rebalance orders across networks and predict delivery times before issues arise. The result is that our customers will have simplified workflow orchestration to make every order more predictable, every decision more intelligent and every fulfilment flow more connected. This means faster onboarding for 3PLs, dynamic channel expansion for retailers and the ability for distributors to stay ahead of supply and demand disruptions."

The collaboration has identified areas within order and fulfilment management where agentic automation-AI systems capable of autonomous action-can provide tangible benefits. These new AI-driven workflows are scheduled to launch in early 2026.

Workflow enhancement

The development is centred on three main objectives: simplifying onboarding and configuration of workflows, generating visual representations that specialists can review and refine, and providing proactive anomaly detection to optimise outcomes. This approach is intended to support businesses in managing supply chain disruptions, expanding dynamically into new sales channels, and facilitating the integration of third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

Taimur Rashid, Managing Director of Generative AI Innovation and Delivery at AWS, commented on the aims of the project.

"Infios is taking a bold step in turning orchestration into intelligence. Together, we're laying the groundwork for workflows that learn, adapt and execute with the speed and intelligence modern supply chains demand. By leveraging AWS's cloud and AI capabilities, Infios is enabling supply chains that evolve as fast as the markets they serve."

Industry context

Infios, based in Australia, provides supply chain technology and serves customers in over 70 countries, assisting more than 5,000 companies worldwide. The collaboration seeks to offer advanced digital capabilities to a broad sector of the retail market, underlining a trend towards increased automation and real-time analytics in supply chain operations.

Generative AI's role in automating complex processes continues to expand, particularly as supply chains face disruption from shifting consumer demand, market volatility, and the need for greater operational flexibility. The capabilities developed through the Infios and AWS partnership are designed to accommodate these evolving requirements, with a focus on practical, user-driven workflow improvements.

The first AI-driven features are expected to become available for Infios OM customers in early 2026, providing opportunities for retailers, distributors, and logistics providers to test and implement advanced automation in their supply chain execution processes.
