Smartsheet appoints Scott Torrey as Chief Revenue Officer to boost global growth

Smartsheet has named Scott Torrey as Chief Revenue Officer, assigning him broad responsibility for driving the company's global revenue. Torrey takes charge of all revenue-generating functions, including direct and partner sales, sales operations, customer success, and services teams worldwide.

Leadership experience

Torrey brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise software sales and leadership. His past roles include Chief Revenue Officer at SAP Concur, where he led revenue growth into the multi-billions, and Chief Executive Officer at Payscale, noted for expanding the company's market presence. Torrey continues to sit on the Board of Directors at Solvd and the Claremont McKenna College Financial Economics Institute. He has also served on the boards of ClearTrip and SAP Concur Japan.

His remit at Smartsheet includes optimising the company's go-to-market strategies and broadening its customer base among global enterprises. Torrey's background is considered key to advancing Smartsheet's business objectives and strengthening relationships with senior executives at enterprise clients.

Go-to-market strategy

Smartsheet is focusing sharply on enterprise adoption of its work management platform. As Chief Revenue Officer, Torrey is tasked with accelerating this adoption and ensuring customers have a consistent experience throughout their relationship with the company.
