Baidam names Sheridan-Roddick Chief Revenue Officer

Mon, 30th Mar 2026

Baidam has appointed Anita Sheridan-Roddick as Chief Revenue Officer, a newly created role based in the company's Sydney office.

The Indigenous IT and cybersecurity provider promoted Sheridan-Roddick after she most recently served as National Sales Director, a position she took on after joining the business in July 2025.

Chief Executive Officer Beau Hodge made the appointment as Baidam expands its executive team. It follows Hodge's own appointment as CEO and marks another step in the company's shift from founder-led management to a broader executive structure.

The promotion forms part of an internal progression plan backed by co-founders and owners Jack Reis and Pip Jenkinson, aimed at supporting growth while promoting staff from within.

Sheridan-Roddick has spent much of her career in cybersecurity sales. In the new role, she will oversee revenue strategy at a company that describes itself as a First Nations IT provider and counts ASX 200 companies, along with local, state and federal government departments, among its clients.

In comments accompanying the appointment, Hodge linked the move to the company's development in recent years.

"Adding weight to our executive team reflects the maturity Baidam has gained in the market as we've evolved from founder-led to executive-led. Anita's been there, done that, and has the cybersecurity T-shirt when it comes to achieving results by building out a managed, professional practice," said Hodge.

"She's a seasoned professional with a strong focus on and passion for our growth, services, people, and profit-with-purpose goals. We're strongly aligned on initiatives such as our collaboration with Deadly Coders and our support for women in STEM programmes," said Hodge.

Hodge said the appointment also signals a change in how the company wants to be seen in the market.

"As we build out our executive team, it's telling the world that we've got the right people doing the right things to build the business," said Hodge.

Growth plan

The new role comes as Baidam seeks to build on a business founded in 2018. The company says it is 100% Australian-owned and has established what it describes as Australia's first Indigenous-operated Security Operations Centre.

Its public profile has centred on both cybersecurity work and an employment mission focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Baidam is certified by Social Traders and is a member of Supply Nation.

Co-Founder Jack Reis said Sheridan-Roddick had already played a role in managing the company's expansion.

"Anita's skill set and leadership capabilities have allowed Baidam to continue to grow with minimal risk," said Reis. "She's the kind of leader that others aspire to be - and she naturally attracts other talented, high-performing people to our team," said Reis.

"I'm someone who prioritises trust over performance, and Anita has proven you can deliver both. She balances the cyber risks of financial exposure and operational resilience that come with scaling Baidam with a commitment to our grassroots cause of closing career gaps for Indigenous Peoples. Her mindfulness makes her very much the real deal," said Reis.

Internal promotion

The appointment gives Baidam a senior commercial executive drawn from inside the business rather than from an external hire. That may matter for a company that has tied its public identity to internal development and employment pathways as well as commercial growth.

Sheridan-Roddick outlined an operational focus for the role, pointing to changes already underway across the business.

"My priority will be ensuring we have a go-to-market strategy that the Baidam team can execute on. We've already been restructuring across the business, enabling us to double down on our technical capabilities - both in our SOC and front-end professional services. With a focus on team enablement and a new sales management layer, there will be some great career progression opportunities for our team. Beau [Beau Hodge, Baidam's CEO] and I have a clear vision of what good looks like moving forward, and we're excited to have the opportunity to act on it," said Sheridan-Roddick.

Her brief points to a closer link between sales leadership and service delivery as the company develops its Security Operations Centre and professional services business. It also suggests further investment in management structure, with a new sales layer intended to support execution and internal progression.

For Baidam, the promotion adds another senior executive as it seeks to broaden its reach beyond the niche identity of a small social-impact business. As Hodge put it: "As we build out our executive team, it's telling the world that we've got the right people doing the right things to build the business."
