Wed, 15th May 2024

Blackpearl Group has announced Laurissa Hollis as the new VP of Sales, as part of its current expansion strategy incorporating North America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Hollis' appointment is a clear statement of the company's commitment to continue on a trajectory of rapid growth.

Prior to signing on with Blackpearl, Hollis held high-ranking positions in significant firms such as Stuff and ArchiPro. She demonstrated her leadership skills in her former roles and developed a reputation for creating cohesive and high-performing teams who sincerely anchored themselves as reliable experts to their clientele. Nick Lissette, Blackpearl Group Founder and CEO, praised Hollis for her wealth of expertise in sales and marketing, adding, "Laurissa brings a unique perspective to the SaaS [Software as a Service] space, placing customers and outcomes at the heart of every sale."

Most recently, Hollis led a team focused on customer retention and growth in the architectural design and building industry through annual subscriptions, strategic partnerships, and targeted events. She is a staunch believer that the key to sustainable sales momentum lies in creating tangible value. "A sales teams success is always equal to their reputation for making their clients even more successful. Selling should be about being laser-focused on matching the right solution to the right customer to benefit their bottom line," she opined.

She further expounded on her sales strategy, saying, "Revenue is always a reflection of how well we interpret and deliver our value to benefit our customers. Blackpearl Group's services are designed to power revenue growth for small-to-medium-sized businesses." She is known for her relentless support for sales teams, a trait that earned her a nomination for 'Supreme Sales Leader' of the year by Stuff. She iterated that leading a sales team was about recognising and harnessing each team member's unique strengths and aligning their efforts with the company's objectives.

Hollis has demonstrated her abilities through notable accomplishments such as launching the reality TV channel Bravo in New Zealand, and pioneering the Revenue Alignment Programme at Stuff. Lissette commends her for her multinational experience and a strong position to navigate local innovation into global growth.

Hollis is excited to begin her journey with Blackpearl Group, attracted by the company's 'small but mighty' mindset. Speaking on her appointment, she said, "New Zealand is known for building SaaS products that succeed on the global stage, and I look forward to playing a key role in ensuring the company continues to deliver outsized success through delivering outsized results for its customers."
