Celonis ranked leader again in 2025 Gartner process mining report
Celonis has been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Platforms, marking the third consecutive year the company has received the distinction.
The designation places the company at the forefront of the process mining industry, with Gartner positioning Celonis highest on the Ability to Execute axis and furthest on the Completeness of Vision axis.
The Magic Quadrant, compiled annually by global research and advisory firm Gartner, evaluates vendors based on their ability to execute and the completeness of their vision. Inclusion in the Leaders' Quadrant signifies a vendor that performs well, has a clear and comprehensive strategy, and is actively investing in innovation to support its position.
Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis, said the recognition reflected the company's continued investment in innovation and its commitment to customers and partners.
"We believe this recognition is a testament to our pioneering product innovation, our system-agnostic Process Intelligence platform, and our impressive global partner network," Rinke said. "This recognition wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our customers, partners and Celonauts. Looking ahead, what excites me most is the huge potential for Celonis to enable our customers to maximise the ROI from their AI investments."
Celonis has focused on enabling businesses to connect artificial intelligence to real-time operational data.
Its Process Intelligence Platform employs object-centric process mining (OCPM) and the proprietary Process Intelligence Graph to create a digital twin of a company's operations. This digital model allows organisations to better understand their processes, identify inefficiencies, and make data-driven decisions.
According to the company, this foundation of process intelligence provides the context AI needs to be effective in enterprise environments, enabling faster, more informed decisions and more impactful actions. It also facilitates the identification of AI use cases that offer measurable business value.
Brian Dodson, Business Process Improvement Manager and Celonis Centre of Excellence lead at Smurfit Westrock, said Celonis had helped provide clarity on how to strategically implement AI.
"Celonis gives us a strategic roadmap for AI. With the visibility provided by process intelligence, we can focus our AI efforts where they'll have the greatest impact on the business," Dodson said.
Dodson explained how Smurfit Westrock is already leveraging Celonis' capabilities: "For example, with an AI copilot powered by Celonis and built on contextualised, harmonised business data, we're optimising inventory management, boosting efficiency, and delivering greater value to our operations teams worldwide."
In addition to visibility and analysis, the Celonis platform supports the development of automation tools through AgentC integrations and APIs. It allows organisations to build and orchestrate intelligent agents and AI copilots to automate and enhance processes across business functions.
Celonis also offers pre-built applications developed by its network of partners. These apps are powered by the combination of process intelligence and AI, allowing companies to adopt solutions that can be quickly deployed to generate impact.
A further feature of the platform is its ability to monitor the improvements delivered by AI and automation. Organisations can track how their deployments are influencing performance, enabling them to continuously optimise their operations.
Celonis' Process Intelligence capabilities extend beyond individual enterprises through its Celonis Networks.
This feature enables process transparency and shared optimisation across multiple organisations, making it possible to improve multi-enterprise processes such as those found in complex supply chains.
With a growing number of enterprises seeking to integrate AI into their operational strategies, process intelligence has become a crucial enabler of meaningful transformation. Celonis' continued presence in the Leaders' Quadrant highlights its role in helping organisations realise the full potential of AI by connecting it to the realities of day-to-day business execution.
As Rinke noted, the recognition by Gartner for the third year running speaks not only to the capabilities of the platform but also to the broader ecosystem that supports it. With a focus on customer success, partner collaboration, and technological advancement, Celonis continues to play a key role in shaping the future of process mining and AI-driven business improvement.
