Dematic ANZ awarded EcoVadis Silver for sustainability

Dematic has received a Silver Medal from the 2025 EcoVadis Assessment for its work in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), recognising the company's dedication to sustainable practices.

The EcoVadis Assessment evaluates companies globally on their sustainability efforts across four key sectors: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Dematic's ANZ operations have been placed in the top 15% of firms assessed in the last year, underlining its commitment to sustainability and responsible business conduct.

"Dematic furthered its dedication to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when our parent company, KION Group, committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Environmental stewardship is no longer a preferable trait – it is now an expectation of our customers when selecting business partners," said Mike Larsson, President, Dematic, KION Group Executive Board Member.

Dematic has also achieved the Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) Certification from the Australian Steel Institute (ASI), which supports the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) Responsible Products Framework. This certification underscores Dematic's adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards in their manufacturing processes.

The company demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by sourcing steel responsibly and adhering to rigorous environmental standards. This is part of Dematic's broader effort to integrate sustainability into its operational processes.

The ColbyRACK product, which is locally manufactured, aims to cut down transportation requirements and related emissions significantly. By focusing on regional sourcing, the company not only reduces the carbon footprint of its supply chain but also enhances its ability to meet customer demands efficiently.
