Yesterday

Opus 2 has appointed Tiama Hanson-Drury as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).

Hanson-Drury joins Opus 2 with a background in executive leadership roles focused on product, engineering, and technology strategy. She most recently served as Chief Product Officer at Minna Technologies, where she led the company through a strategic growth phase that culminated in its acquisition by Mastercard.

Hanson-Drury has been recognised as a recipient of the 2025 CPO Awards by Products That Count, reflecting her contributions to product growth and her role in advancing the application of artificial intelligence in business operations. At Minna Technologies, her leadership was credited with both scaling the business and overseeing its acquisition.

In her new role at Opus 2, Hanson-Drury will oversee the global product and technology organisation and participate in both the product advisory board and client advisory board. These initiatives will bring together clients and the company's leadership to influence future product strategy and development. She will collaborate closely with Robert Cannon, who takes on the position of principal engineer, and Raymond Bentinck, who assumes a product leadership role focused on hearings and arbitral institutions.

"I'm thrilled to join Opus 2 and serve our clients and the legal community. Opus 2's reputation for excellence, connection with clients, and strong foundation offer a remarkable opportunity to shape the future of legal. I'm excited to be a part of it and empower our clients to focus on the most rewarding, valuable elements of their work," Hanson-Drury commented on her appointment.

The appointment brings together a combination of institutional knowledge and technical expertise within the company's leadership. Robert Cannon and Raymond Bentinck will continue to play significant roles as the company pursues growth and technological development. Opus 2 officials indicated that the expanded leadership team is intended to accelerate the firm's strategy, particularly in areas related to AI and digital collaboration tools for the legal sector.

"Tiama's experience in both high-growth start-ups and enterprise businesses, paired with her strategic approach and results-focused mindset, makes her the perfect fit for Opus 2. Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue investing in AI, advancing our platform, and pursuing our vision," Greg Blackman, Chief Executive Officer at Opus 2, said.

Opus 2, a provider of legal software and services, works with law firms and legal professionals in multiple jurisdictions. Its solutions are designed to reduce inefficiencies and provide collaboration tools enhanced with artificial intelligence, enabling clients to manage legal proceedings and related activities more effectively. The company's software is used in a range of dispute resolution proceedings globally, providing technology and expertise for delivering what it describes as modern and secure legal services.

With Hanson-Drury's appointment, Opus 2 plans to further engage its client advisory programmes and invest in the development of AI-driven legal solutions. The leadership changes are also intended to position the company for continued expansion and the delivery of enhancements that address client needs in the evolving legal technology landscape.
