Remote launches AI tool to streamline global recruitment

Today

Remote has announced the launch of Recruit, an AI-powered solution aimed at revolutionising the hiring industry by streamlining the process of sourcing and securing global talent.

The introduction of Recruit is designed to address challenges faced by companies, especially in hiring skilled professionals, as the global recruiting process becomes increasingly cluttered with AI-generated resume spam. Australian HR teams report spending approximately two weeks filtering through unsuitable job applications, leading to the potential overlooking of top talent.

Job van der Voort, Co-founder and CEO of Remote, expressed concerns about the current state of global hiring. "Global hiring today presents a paradox — while talent exists everywhere, employers often limit themselves to familiar markets, missing out on incredible candidates while spending countless hours sorting through irrelevant applications. This not only slows down hiring but also perpetuates hiring inequalities across regions," he said.

Recruit utilises advanced AI technology to achieve a more efficient hiring process by leveraging the world's largest talent intelligence dataset and global search engine. It is tailored to provide immediate, legally compliant hiring solutions, aiming to make the process fair and transparent in identifying eligible candidates swiftly, irrespective of their location.

Van der Voort highlighted the new tool's capabilities, stating, "With Recruit, our aim is to transform this landscape by providing employers with a new class of tools, powered by AI, to efficiently source, evaluate and hire global talent. Recruit combines intelligent candidate sourcing and discovery with Remote's deep insights into global markets, helping companies make data-driven hiring decisions quickly while expanding their talent pool."

Companies are increasingly seeking efficient recruiting tools that meet legal compliance and non-discriminatory standards. Remote claims that Recruit's algorithms are clear and comprehensible, ensuring fairness in the hiring process.

The launch also includes a partnership with Apriora, a company specialising in AI recruiting agents. Together, they offer live, conversational video interviews at scale, which aim to enhance the quality of candidate assessments by providing deeper insights into skills, experience, and work preferences.

According to a survey in Remote's Remote Recruiting Report, while employers are becoming more open to hiring talent from new geographic areas, the recruitment process remains challenging. The report states that mainstream job boards continue to prioritise metrics over effective matching, resulting in below 20% success rates for hires.

Recruit includes various tools such as smart sourcing, talent insights, AI-powered candidate screening, and job advertising. It allows users to search over 800 million global candidate profiles, obtain real-time insights about talent availability, and enjoy enhanced tracking and one-click hiring features that are fully integrated into Remote's global HR platform.

Remote's latest innovation is aimed at alleviating the pressure on HR teams and improving the chances of finding and recruiting qualified specialists efficiently, without the time-intensive filtering of unsuitable applications. The integration of AI and real-time data stands at the forefront of improving the effectiveness of identifying, engaging, and employing top talent globally.
