Anna Volkova joins HiBob to lead people & culture

Today

HiBob has announced the appointment of Anna Volkova as Head of People and Culture for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), marking a significant step in its effort to cultivate a people-centred organisational culture and expand its operations in the region.

Anna Volkova brings a wealth of experience in HR and People leadership to HiBob. She has previously held senior roles at The Iconic, Kudosity, Westpac Group, and Brighte, where she championed projects aimed at building impactful cultures and developing leadership frameworks.

Her experience and expertise, particularly in strategic thinking and team building, align well with HiBob's focus. She specialises in scaling businesses, embedding culture, and fostering leadership capabilities to facilitate growth, with a passion for creating inclusive workplace environments and strategies that improve engagement, retention, and organisational effectiveness.

Nirit Peled-Muntz, Chief People Officer at HiBob, commented on the appointment, "Our primary objective at HiBob is to help businesses not only bring out the best in their people but understand the building blocks behind success. Being able to track this journey allows businesses to gain actionable insights into every aspect of HR — from recruitment and pay to workforce planning and employee engagement. Anna's extensive experience driving people and culture strategies and her ability to build high-performing, people-first cultures will be instrumental as we continue to scale. Welcome aboard, Anna!"

Anna Volkova also shared her thoughts on joining HiBob, stating, "I got a great window into the energy and culture of HiBob in my previous role where I was a Bob customer. The team and culture are a huge drawcard and HiBob's product is particularly exciting to me because it addresses one of the biggest challenges I've seen in my previous roles: accessing and making use of insights from data. Tools like Bob empower HR teams to be more strategic and impactful, which is critical as the CPO role continues to evolve from operational management to being a true strategic partner."

She continued, "Success to me in this role starts with the strength of the relationships I build with our employees, customers, and community, and extends to tangible improvements in employee experience, leadership effectiveness, and our ability to attract and develop top talent."
