B2Bpay has partnered with Luxury Escapes to let customers convert B2B Points into Société Points, linking business payment rewards with the travel platform's loyalty program.

Customers can convert one B2B Point into 2.5 Luxury Escapes Société Points, which can be redeemed across the platform for hotel stays, holiday packages, cruises, tours, flights and other travel bookings.

The move gives the Australian business payments group a new redemption option beyond airline loyalty schemes. It also extends Luxury Escapes' Société program to businesses using B2Bpay for routine operating costs.

More than 40,000 Australian businesses use B2Bpay. The platform lets businesses pay suppliers, invoices, taxes and other expenses by credit card or bank account, including when suppliers do not accept card payments directly.

The model is designed to help businesses manage cash flow while earning reward points on spending they would make anyway. Through the new link with Luxury Escapes, those points can now be used for travel purchases on the company's platform.

Rewards link

The partnership reflects the growing overlap between payments, loyalty and travel. B2Bpay customers can use points generated through business outgoings such as supplier invoices and tax payments, then transfer them into Société Points for personal or business travel.

The companies said the exchange rate could be used for premium leisure trips. One example was a Maldives direct charter economy return flight and five-night stay for two adults, listed from AUD $1,299 plus 120,000 Société Points per person, equivalent to 48,000 B2B Points. Another was a five-night Villa Nautica Maldives package with return flights, listed from 120,000 Société Points plus AUD $1,899 per person.

Other examples included a three-night villa stay at AYANA Villas Bali from 728,757 Société Points and a five-night stay at Banyan Tree Phuket from 517,332 Société Points. The examples were presented as a way routine business spending could be translated into travel redemptions.

Luxury Escapes offers Société as a complimentary rewards program. Members can earn and redeem points on hotels, flights, tours, cruises and experiences, while higher membership tiers include benefits such as room upgrades, airport lounge access and chauffeur transfers.

B2Bpay Chief Jane Grant said the partnership reflects the company's broader effort to expand how points earned through business payments can be used.

"Every business has unavoidable expenses, but that doesn't mean those payments shouldn't work harder," said Grant, Chief Executive Officer, B2Bpay.

"Our customers already use B2Bpay to improve cash flow and earn valuable rewards from supplier invoices, tax payments and everyday operating costs. By partnering with Luxury Escapes, we're giving them another exciting way to enjoy those rewards and turn business spending into incredible travel experiences.

"Whether it's rewarding staff, celebrating a successful year or simply taking a well-earned break, this partnership gives our customers more choice, more flexibility and another compelling reason to make B2Bpay part of their everyday business.

"This partnership also cuts out the middleman, meaning B2Bpay customers can use their points on the Luxury Escapes site and directly access all the benefits its members enjoy.

"The partnership builds on B2Bpay's mission to make business payments more rewarding by continually expanding the ways customers can redeem the points earned from their everyday business expenses.

"As more Australian businesses look to maximise value from every transaction, the addition of Société Points provides another compelling option for turning routine business spending into meaningful personal and business rewards."

Travel push

For Luxury Escapes, the agreement opens another acquisition channel through small and medium-sized businesses that already use payment intermediaries to manage bills and tax obligations. It also places Société in competition with more established points ecosystems tied to airlines and banks.

Chris Neill, who oversees media and brand partnerships at Luxury Escapes, said the arrangement broadens access to the program among business owners.

"We're always looking for new ways to help travellers get more value from every booking and every point they earn," said Neill, General Manager Media & Brand Partnerships, Luxury Escapes.

"Partnering with B2Bpay means business owners can now convert the rewards they've earned through running their business into unforgettable holidays, luxury hotels and unique experiences through Société.

"It's another example of how we're making premium travel more accessible while rewarding customers in ways that genuinely enhance their travel experiences."

The partnership highlights how payment platforms are increasingly using loyalty structures to differentiate themselves in a crowded market, while travel groups seek new customer sources through financial services channels.

The arrangement also forms part of B2Bpay's broader effort to expand the redemption options attached to day-to-day business payments. Société members can use points across Luxury Escapes' collection of hotels, flights, tours, cruises and experiences.
