BlackLine unveils Studio360 to transform financial ops

Thu, 21st Nov 2024

BlackLine has introduced Studio360, a platform aimed at enhancing financial operations for the modern Office of the CFO.

The new Studio360 platform seeks to address the complexities of financial operations by providing a unified and scalable solution, enabling more efficient processes and real-time insights across financial functions.

Therese Tucker, Co-CEO and Founder, remarked, "Studio360 is the new gold standard for digital finance transformation. Studio360 reflects BlackLine's two-decade commitment to empowering the Office of the CFO with innovative, customer-driven solutions. Studio360 offers our customers an accurate, efficient, and intelligent approach to financial operations that gets them future-ready."

The Studio360 platform is composed of five key components: Integrate, Orchestrate, Visualize, Blueprint, and Control. Each of these components is designed to meet specific challenges facing financial operations today.

Studio360 Integrate focuses on data unification, cleansing, and transformation, utilising pre-built connectors and APIs to ensure a single source of truth for finance and accounting teams. Studio360 Orchestrate offers process automation and workflow management capabilities, connecting BlackLine and other financial applications in real-time. Studio360 Visualize delivers real-time, AI-powered insights and KPI monitoring via customizable dashboards, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

Studio360 Blueprint provides an extensive library of process design templates, informed by industry best practices, to expedite deployment and boost transformation outcomes. Lastly, Studio360 Control acts as a centralized hub for managing financial data hierarchies, policies, and certifications to enhance governance and risk management.

Each component makes use of advances in data connectivity, security, and automation to improve productivity and efficiency while ensuring accuracy for compliance and reporting.

The platform's capabilities are further enhanced by BlackLine's strategic partnership with Snowflake, a leading data cloud provider. This integration is expected to support real-time data sharing and scale to manage substantial transaction volumes, thus enabling CFOs to achieve higher operational performance.

Jeremy Ung, Chief Technology Officer at BlackLine, stated, "Studio360 is more than a platform—it's the next step in empowering CFOs and finance leaders to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced, data-driven world. Its power lies in transforming data and mapping processes across multiple workstreams to provide real-time insights into financial health and enable informed decision-making. Our infrastructure unifies customers' financial operations, offering a comprehensive view of every process, no matter the data source. Our integration with Snowflake further enhances Studio360, giving customers secure, scalable data connectivity that unifies their entire financial ecosystem for a seamless, end-to-end experience."

Charlie Gaulke, Senior Vice President of Product Management at BlackLine, said, "Unlike single-purpose solutions with limited scalability, Studio360 is ERP-agnostic and designed for complete flexibility across a company's financial ecosystem. By automating processes, unifying data, and delivering AI-powered real-time insights, BlackLine's Studio360 equips finance organizations with a holistic, next-generation solution to simplify and optimize financial operations."

Rebecca Wettemann, CEO and Principal Analyst at Valoir, commented, "In today's world, finance teams need real-time visibility into financial data for effective planning and decision making but are often challenged to reconcile data in multiple systems and applications." She added, "Blackline provides a scalable and secure platform for integrating, orchestrating, and visualizing finance data and processes."
