DTCC to launch Snowflake-powered equity data portals

Wed, 4th Mar 2026

DTCC has outlined plans for new equities data portals that will aggregate information from its clearing, settlement, and post-trade processing services into redesigned web interfaces for clients.

The portals will cover data from DTCC subsidiaries National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) and Depository Trust Corporation (DTC), as well as DTCC's Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) suite. The goal is a more streamlined way to access operational information across these services.

DTCC developed the portals through client engagement, including feedback on data needs and reviews of early designs. The portals will also include analytics and workflow features and will be built on Snowflake's AI Data Cloud platform.

Portal rollout

The first product, the Securities Data Experiences portal, combines NSCC and DTC data. It is in beta testing with early-adopter firms and is scheduled to launch in Q1 2026.

A redesigned ITP Analytics portal is expected to roll out in Q2 2026, as part of a broader technology change programme.

NSCC operates as a central counterparty and clearing provider for US securities markets, while DTC provides depository and settlement services. ITP covers post-trade processing for institutional activity, including matching and confirmation workflows. The new portals will present related metrics and processing information in a consolidated view.

Data and tools

DTCC said consolidated historical clearing and settlement metrics across NSCC and DTC services will be a core feature of the Securities Data Experiences portal, with data refreshed regularly.

Planned dashboards include settlement rates by asset class, outstanding exceptions, and industry benchmarks. Users will be able to customise views using tools such as tailored queries and pivot tables.

The portal will also allow drill-down from high-level metrics to trade-level detail, giving users access to individual trade records and links back to aggregate measures.

DTCC also highlighted a simplified user interface intended to improve usability for firms monitoring clearing and settlement activity and exceptions.

Snowflake's platform will underpin the portals' data handling, according to DTCC. Commercial terms were not disclosed.

Client oversight

Market participants have sought more consistent views of post-trade processing performance as trading volumes rise and settlement processes tighten. Firms also face operational pressure from exception management and the need for stronger internal reporting on settlement performance.

DTCC positioned the portals as a way for clients to view operational measures across multiple DTCC services in one place, supported by analytics and data visualisation tools. Users will be able to review trends and performance through dashboards and custom analytics.

Val Wotton, Managing Director and Global Head of Equities Solutions at DTCC, linked the launch to the firm's wider change programme.

"Launching these portals is a significant milestone in DTCC's continuing transformation journey," said Val Wotton, DTCC Managing Director and Global Head of Equities Solutions.

Wotton said DTCC is combining its data with Snowflake's platform.

"By combining DTCC's trusted data with the power of Snowflake's enterprise ready platform, we are creating a scalable, secure, and high-performance solution that enhances the client experience and equips clients with actionable insights that may be used to measure their operational efficiency," Wotton said.

DTCC did not name the early-adopter firms in the beta test or specify how the portals will be licensed or priced.

DTCC is an industry-owned market infrastructure provider that supplies processing and data services across asset classes. It reported that its subsidiaries processed securities transactions valued at USD $3.7 quadrillion in 2024, and that its depository subsidiary provided custody and asset servicing for securities issues valued at USD $99 trillion.

The portals will roll out in phases through the first half of 2026, starting with the combined NSCC and DTC portal, followed by the redesigned ITP Analytics portal.
