Fujitsu partners with Linius to enhance video analysis

Tue, 5th Nov 2024

Fujitsu has announced a strategic partnership with Linius Technologies to enhance video data analysis capabilities for businesses and organisations globally.

This collaboration integrates Fujitsu's systems integration expertise and AI-powered video analysis with Linius' patented virtualised video and data-driven video assembly technology. The technology is designed to enable organisations to search, analyse, and assemble video streams from various sources to create meaningful narratives and extract critical information to support decision-making processes.

Graeme Beardsell, Chief Executive Officer of Fujitsu Asia Pacific, remarked, "This partnership is a game-changer for businesses looking to leverage the power of video. By combining Linius' innovative video platform with Fujitsu's deep industry expertise and global reach, we are empowering organisations to unlock the true value of their video data, when combined with Fujitsu Kozuchi for Vision, Fujitsu's AI service."

James Brennan, Chief Executive Officer of Linius Technologies, commented, "This partnership is a major milestone for Linius as we look to enter new markets, including security and public sector organisations. It allows us to bring the power of Linius Video Services to a wider audience, enabling organisations across industries worldwide to benefit from the transformative capabilities of our AI and data-driven video assembly. Working with Fujitsu, a worldwide leader in digital transformation, will help us redefine the way organisations interact with video, transforming data into actionable insights and driving real-world impact."

The new solutions are expected to be especially beneficial in industries involving security and surveillance, airport and transport operations, border services, police and fire operations, as well as site inspections, asset maintenance, and retail analysis.

Through the partnership, businesses, governments, and organisations can address the increasing volume of video data and the challenge of extracting valuable insights. The technology allows users to analyse video to identify moments of interest quickly, compile video segments into comprehensive narratives, and deep dive into segments to identify actions, objects, and individuals.

The collaboration is anticipated to lead to significant impacts, such as enhanced value from video, AI, and data investments, reduced resource expenditure, and more efficient processes. It is also expected to reduce response times, increase analytic capabilities, and aid in maintaining the chain of evidence.

Fujitsu underscores its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the United Nations, particularly goals #9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure) and #12 (responsible consumption and production). The partnership aligns with Fujitsu's purpose to contribute towards a sustainable future through innovation.

Fujitsu offers a range of services and solutions that draw on five key technologies: Computing, Networks, AI, Data and Security, and Converging Technologies, which are brought together to deliver sustainability transformation.
