Gallagher Security appoints Issa as State Manager for NSW/ACT
Gallagher Security has appointed David Issa as the State Manager for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, as part of a strategic merger of the two regions.
David Issa brings over 20 years of experience in business development, sales, and account management to his new role, having most recently served as Head of SME Business Development for Virgin Australia's Velocity Frequent Flyer programme.
The appointment of Issa is aligned with Gallagher's broader vision to streamline operations and improve partner engagement within the Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa (APAC/IMEA) regions. This strategic move merges NSW and ACT regions to enhance Gallagher's market presence and unify regional support.
Craig Schutte, Gallagher Security's Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA, stated, "The merging of NSW and ACT under David's leadership is a strategic move that aligns with our broader APAC/IMEA vision of streamlining operations and enhancing partner engagement. This integration not only strengthens our presence in a key market but also sets a benchmark for how we can unify teams to deliver consistent, scalable support across the region."
Scott Johnstone, National Sales Manager for Australia, highlighted the focus on seamless partner experiences and targeted growth that would come with the newly created role. "With David stepping into the newly created NSW/ACT State Manager role, the focus for the year ahead will be on unifying the regions under a cohesive strategy that prioritises seamless partner experiences and targeted growth. By leveraging a stronger, more agile team, the NSW/ACT business will concentrate on creating new partner relationships, fostering existing relationships, scaling key client support, and driving market expansion with a sharper, more consistent approach."
Johnstone further elaborated on the operational benefits gained from merging the two states. "For the wider Australian business, this move strengthens our position by demonstrating a commitment to operational excellence and partner-focused strategies. It sets a precedent for aligning resources strategically, enhancing our capacity to serve partners and clients across the country."
Scott Johnstone also indicated that the existing team structures within NSW/ACT would remain unchanged, but Issa's appointment enables scalability according to resource demands. Johnstone remarked, "David's appointment as NSW/ACT State Manager marks a pivotal step in unifying our efforts across the region, enabling us to deliver stronger partnerships, sharper focus, and to unlock more for our partners and clients alike."
