Gresham unveils web-based upgrade for investment data platform

Today

Gresham has announced a significant update to its Control for Investment Management reconciliation solution, previously marketed under the Electra brand.

Control for Investment Management is used by over 100 active clients, including investment managers, hedge funds, and buy-side institutions, to reconcile cash, positions, and transactions. The latest enhancement maintains the system's patented intelligent workflow, which has been a notable feature of the application, while introducing a new web-based interface designed to simplify oversight of important data for users.

The update also strengthens integration with Gresham's Pulse Data solution, which aggregates more than 6,000 investment data feeds from over 1,600 global sources. This integration is intended to provide a single vendor solution for investment managers, aiming to streamline daily operations, improve exception management processes, and reduce operational complexity and costs.

Ian Manocha, Chief Executive Officer of Gresham, said, "Moving Control for Investment Management to a web-based solution is an important step forward and gives our clients faster access, more flexibility, and greater control.

"It is the first of a series of exciting new product releases we're rolling out to meet the evolving needs of financial institutions. It's a strong sign of the investment we are making in our product roadmap and suite of cloud offerings," he said.

Alongside the new web interface, the solution now features a robust application programming interface (API) that allows clients to automate record extraction and updates. Embedded documentation within the platform is aimed at aiding user adoption of new capabilities, and Gresham provides specialist onboarding support tailored to large-scale asset managers and hedge funds.

Steve Weinburg, Product Manager at Gresham, said, "Clients worldwide have relied on this tool for essential reconciliation tasks. By introducing a web-based interface and expanding our APIs, we're creating stronger links between Control for Investment Management and other Gresham solutions, enabling data and insights from one product to enhance the capabilities of another. This approach boosts daily efficiency, while offering a more integrated, unified experience for investment managers around the globe."

Recently, Gresham presented the new web interface and its features to users, providing live demonstrations and best-practice guidance. Attendees had the opportunity to see how the platform's improvements support operational tasks and reduce the workload on internal IT teams.

Control for Investment Management continues to be aimed at addressing the operational data challenges investment managers face, with the enhancements aligning with trends towards cloud-based solutions and integrated data management in the financial sector.
