Jabra reveals new distie partnership

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Jabra has announced a new distribution partnership with Mia Distribution for its contact centre and enterprise audio products.

Driven by high demand for enterprise audio products, the partnership aims to support the continuous adoption of soft phones and headsets in the local market.

Jabra and MIA have been working together for the last three years. Through this partnership, Mia Distribution says it is looking to capitalise on Jabra's premium range of commercial and enterprise headsets, and wireless speakers including the latest PanaCast Panoramic-4K plug-and-play video solution.

"The addition of Jabra to Mia Distributions UC product offering makes for one of the most comprehensive end-to-end UC offerings in the Australian market, and further strengthens our position as one of the leading UC distributors in Australia," Mia Distribution says.

David Piggott, managing director ANZ at Jabra, says Mia's aggressive growth in the Australian market has helped Jabra grow its market share to be number one in UC headset sales in the Australian market.

"Mia's investment and success in cloud platforms for both UC and contact centre represents a true opportunity for partners to capitalise on this major market transition," Piggott says. "Jabra are very excited to further strengthen an already successful relationship with Mia Distribution."

Brad Milne, managing director, Mia Distribution, adds, "Having a global leader in headsets such as Jabra as part of our product portfolio will ensure we can offer the best solutions for our partners and continue our aggressive push in the ANZ market.

"We believe our channel are primed to see the benefits of Jabra solutions as the needs of the workforce and the growth of UC becomes more apparent," he says.

"Jabra has grown incredibly well locally, and the team looks forward to assisting Jabra with increasing their market share and delivering education through certifications and training on all their products," says Milne.

"We want our channel to see the potential in adding these solutions to their current offerings."

Jabra, part of the GN Group, employs close to 1,100 people worldwide, and reported annual revenue of DKK $4bn in 2017. The GN Group, founded in 1869, operates in 100 countries and employs more than 5,500 people.

In December last year, Jabra launched its revamped One Partner Program in Australia and New Zealand. The program includes improved incentives for solution providers that show the most commitment and profitability, while embracing the Jabra Enterprise portfolio.

“Jabra's portfolio has always focused on solutions that enhance productivity through improved concentration, conversation and collaboration. There is a real need for these tools in the hyper-connected enterprise and contact centre environments and our partners play a vital role in helping us deliver these tools to Australia and New Zealand organisations," Piggot said at the time.
