John Ederer appointed Chief Financial Officer at Teradata

Teradata has named John Ederer as its incoming Chief Financial Officer.

John Ederer will assume responsibility for Teradata's financial organisation, with oversight extending to accounting and reporting, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, internal audit and controls, investor relations, tax, and treasury.

Ederer will also join the company's Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Teradata President and Chief Executive Officer Steve McMillan.

Prior to joining Teradata, Ederer served as CFO at Model N, a company specialising in cloud revenue management solutions, where he led teams overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, and investor relations. During his tenure, he focused on driving a profitable growth strategy.

Before Model N, Ederer was CFO at K2 Software, where he managed a business turnaround by steering a transition to subscription-based revenue, achieving profitability, and eventually facilitating the sale of the company to Nintex.

Ederer's earlier career includes financial leadership positions at companies such as TIBCO Software, SAP, Business Objects, and Ariba. He began his professional journey in investment banking, working as an equity research analyst covering enterprise software companies and healthcare.
