KuCoin partners 2025 BMW Australian PGA to boost local presence
KuCoin has been named as the Official Partner and exclusive crypto exchange partner for the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship, marking a significant move to boost its presence in Australia's sports and digital sectors.
Partnership details
The arrangement will see KuCoin's branding displayed prominently on course and throughout tournament activities, including digital features and fan engagement experiences. The tournament will take place at Royal Queensland Golf Club from 27 to 30 November 2025.
As part of the partnership, KuCoin aims to connect with the golfing community and showcase its digital asset trading platform through immersive initiatives for attendees and online audiences.
Expansion in Australia
KuCoin's move comes as it accelerates its operations in Australia. This follows the opening of its Sydney central business district headquarters and the installation of local leadership with a focus on compliance, operational capability, and technological development. The firm states these steps are part of its broader investment in Australia's digital financial future.
"Partnering with the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship is a natural extension of KuCoin's long-term commitment to Australia. With Adam Scott representing KuCoin on the world stage and our new Sydney hub anchoring our local innovation efforts, we are deepening our investment in Australia's digital future. This partnership goes beyond sport; it underscores our belief in integrity, security, and the enduring trust we aim to build with communities across the region," said BC Wong, CEO, KuCoin.
Ambassador endorsement
The partnership follows KuCoin's recent appointment of Australian golfer Adam Scott as its first global brand ambassador. Scott, a previous BMW Australian PGA Championship winner, will headline the 2025 event alongside players including Cam Smith, Min Woo Lee, Joaquin Niemann, Ryan Fox, Cam Davis, Marc Leishman, Marco Penge, Carlos Ortiz, Matt Jones, Sebastien Munoz, and defending champion Elvis Smylie.
"I am very happy to see KuCoin supporting professional golf in Australia. This tournament means a lot to me and I'm proud to have KuCoin by my side," said Adam Scott.
PGA perspective
PGA of Australia CEO Gavin Kirkman said the organisation is optimistic about the new commercial relationship and its broader relevance to the sport and its values.
"We're thrilled to welcome KuCoin to the PGA family as a partner of the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship. Their commitment to innovation aligns perfectly with the values of our sport. Having Adam Scott, one of Australia's most respected athletes, represent both golf and KuCoin makes this collaboration even more meaningful," said Gavin Kirkman, CEO, PGA of Australia.
