Peacock Bros. launches unified RFID platform for asset tracking

Mon, 13th Oct 2025

Peacock Bros. has launched its internally developed RFID Software, offering businesses a connected system that unites a mobile app and web portal for asset management and enterprise reporting.

Historically, organisations have relied on a mixture of separate tools and manual processes to handle the various stages of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) management, including tagging, printing, tracking, and reporting of assets. These fragmented processes have often led to inefficiencies, with duplicated work and the risk of errors from manual data entry. Such limitations can create gaps in asset visibility and delay operational workflows.

The new RFID Software from Peacock Bros. is designed to consolidate all these elements into a unified platform. It consists of a mobile application, compatible with Android devices and rugged industrial mobile computers, and a web-based portal. Through the mobile app, employees can execute core RFID tasks such as scanning assets, registering and encoding RFID tags, and conducting inspections or inventory counts directly in the field. This approach removes the need for paper notes and subsequent manual entry at desktop computers, streamlining the process and reducing administrative burden.

The web portal component complements the mobile app by providing enterprise-level supervision and management features. These include advanced tools for location management, bulk data imports, GPS-tagging of events, user controls, comprehensive reporting features, and support for role-based access. This combination is intended to allow businesses to operate flexibly in physical environments while ensuring robust oversight and traceability at an organisational level.

George Pecchiar, Executive Director at Peacock Bros., explained the motivation for developing the new system and the benefits it brings to users.

"Our new RFID Track and Trace Software was designed to replace the patchwork of tools and manual processes businesses have been relying on," said George Pecchiar, Executive Director at Peacock Bros. "By combining a mobile app for instant field capture with a web portal for oversight and reporting, it provides one connected system where assets can be registered, tracked and managed in real time. That means greater accuracy, visibility and efficiency than barcoding or disconnected solutions can offer."

The RFID Software incorporates features to maximise efficiency and adaptability for users. These include offline functionality with automatic synchronisation once connectivity is restored, detailed transaction logging, the capture of geolocation data, and the creation of audit trails for full transparency regarding asset movements. Security protocols are built into the centralised cloud platform, with controls such as role-based permissions and the ability to integrate with existing enterprise login systems.

Pecchiar also described the approach to scalability and the ways in which businesses can adapt the solution to their needs.

"Designed to be flexible, integrable and future-ready, Peacocks RFID Software scales with business needs. Real-time data accelerates decision-making, automated check-in/check-out and reporting minimise manual processes, and intuitive dashboards deliver actionable insights. By bringing these capabilities together in one connected system, Peacock Bros. enables businesses to tailor RFID technology to their unique challenges while protecting assets and reducing shrinkage," Pecchiar concluded.

By offering a unified RFID management solution, Peacock Bros. aims to address the issues businesses face when using multiple, unconnected tools, while providing enhanced accuracy, efficiency, and control in the tracking and management of assets.
