Quanta Services Australia partners with IFS to support growth

Wed, 18th Dec 2024

Quanta Services Australia has chosen enterprise cloud provider IFS to support its growth strategy across Australia.

Quanta Services Australia (QSA), operating as Consolidated Power Projects, Enscope, Nacap, and Quanta Power, specialises in infrastructure solutions for the energy and resources industry. The company is set to implement IFS Cloud, an AI-powered ERP platform, to enhance efficiencies in its core construction market and explore opportunities in asset and service management.

QSA faces a pivotal organisational change, as it was previously managing multiple platforms, many nearing their end of life. The company needed a comprehensive solution to streamline operations by consolidating all systems, thus creating a single source of data truth that can support future growth.

IFS Cloud offers QSA a single, cloud-based platform designed to standardise operations across its multiple businesses. The platform will support several functional areas, including projects, finance, assets, procurement, supply chain, and human capital management.

Michael Watson, Chief Information Officer at Quanta Services Australia, commented on the decision, saying, "Choosing IFS Cloud was about more than just consolidating our systems – we needed a platform that could offer the financial transparency, process efficiency, and technological foundation to support our evolving business."

He added, "IFS Cloud stood out for its ability to link every transaction and for its industry-leading technology, offering us precise financial control and providing us with a platform that can help us to grow. This solution is the right fit for our needs today and our ambitions for tomorrow, allowing us to deliver even greater value to our customers."

As part of the implementation, QSA will utilise IFS Customer Success services, which offer expert support throughout the transition. This engagement framework will help QSA define and achieve specific business outcomes.

Warren Zietsman, Managing Director at IFS Australia & New Zealand, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating, "We're pleased to partner with QSA as they take this important step toward consolidating and modernising their operations. IFS Cloud is tailored to address its need for a cohesive platform that replaces multiple legacy systems and enhances operational visibility. This solution will empower QSA to manage its processes more efficiently and provide the agility to support ongoing growth and diversification in a highly competitive sector."

The implementation of IFS Cloud by QSA is expected to be fully operational by 2025, with a complete rollout across the company's various divisions anticipated by 2026.
