Trellix secures IRAP certification for cloud security tools
Trellix has announced that its Email Security and Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) for Collaboration Platforms have successfully completed the assessment for the protected level under Australia's Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP).
Through this achievement, Australian government agencies can more readily procure Trellix's cloud-based solutions, designed to secure email and collaboration applications, such as Slack, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Workspace.
"Government agencies around the world are facing immense pressure to modernize their infrastructure and adopt cloud technologies, while balancing an intensifying cyber threat landscape and complex regulatory requirements," stated Neville Vincent, Senior Vice President, APJ at Trellix. "Governments require the same email and collaboration tools to drive innovation as enterprises, and need compliant security to make utilizing them possible. At Trellix, we're always seeking ways to support our government customers by making it easier for them to adopt high quality, vetted cybersecurity solutions."
This new IRAP certification enables Australian government entities to enhance their organisational security across their extensive networks involving external partners, suppliers, vendors, contractors, and customers through Trellix's cloud-based solutions.
Trellix Email Security is designed to offer robust protection for both inbound and outbound emails, addressing a critical attack vector. The platform features advanced threat detection, actionable alerts, and capabilities for email recall, which help organisations mitigate attacks. It also provides tools to prevent data leaks, accelerate investigations and responses, and tackle multi-stage campaigns.
Trellix IVX for Collaboration Platforms facilitates digital transformation by providing a unified, cost-effective solution for threat detection across various collaboration environments, including Slack, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace. It continuously monitors shared files and URLs, alerting security operations centres when a malicious item is detected, thereby reducing disruptions and the burden on these centres.
The IRAP assessment follows Trellix's achievement of FedRAMP High authorisation for the Trellix GovCloud Security Platform and US Department of Defense IL5 High certification for Trellix Endpoint Detection and Response. These represent recent advances in the company's credentials recognised by leading authorities in government cybersecurity.
