V2 AI expands into Perth with four senior leadership hires

V2 AI has opened operations in Perth and made four senior hires, giving the consultancy a permanent presence in Western Australia.
The new Perth team is led by Partner Richard Allen and Perth Director Derek Bingham. In Melbourne, V2 AI has also appointed Holly Dean as Partner and Jean-Manuel Becker as Director as it expands its delivery footprint across Australia.
The expansion comes as demand for artificial intelligence projects rises among large Australian organisations, particularly those moving from trial programmes to broader operational use. Perth is a key market because of its concentration of energy, resources, government and commercial organisations.
Allen joins after more than a decade at Amazon Web Services, where he most recently served as Global Account Manager for large enterprise customers in Australia. Before that, he spent more than 20 years working with organisations in resources, construction and agriculture.

Bingham brings more than 20 years of experience in software architecture, cloud engineering and developer leadership. Most recently, he was Principal Software Engineer at a major Australian bank, where he worked on modernising a core banking platform with AI tools and training engineers to use them.
Earlier in his career, Bingham spent more than eight years at Amazon Web Services in roles including Senior Developer Advocate and Senior Partner Solutions Architect. He has also held senior engineering roles in financial services, consulting and technology.
At V2 AI, he will work with organisations in Western Australia on software delivery and engineering practices linked to AI adoption.

Dean joins after roles at Salesforce, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Sitecore and Stax. Her background spans strategic partnerships, channel growth and enterprise sales, with a focus on technology adoption in regulated environments.
At V2 AI, Dean will focus on strategic innovation and growth, helping organisations shape AI plans around business and compliance requirements.

Becker brings more than 30 years of engineering and leadership experience in technology and data modernisation. Most recently, he was Principal Cloud Architect at Amazon Web Services, advising organisations in energy, mining, aviation, public sector and financial services.
At V2 AI, he will focus on data and AI architecture, particularly the secure, governed systems needed to support large-scale deployment.

National build-out
The Perth launch follows broader hiring across the business as V2 AI expands its operations in Asia-Pacific. Founded in 2023, the company now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
It has also been working with organisations through workshops run with Anthropic in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Singapore. Those sessions have brought together technology leaders and executives from large enterprises as businesses assess how to put AI tools into day-to-day operations.
