V2 Digital bolsters team with high-profile appointments from Microsoft, Servian
Thu, 14th Mar 2024

V2 Digital, the data and digital consultancy, announced this week that they have expanded their team with two major appointments. Shane Baldacchino, previously Chief Architect at Microsoft, will assume the role of Director of Cloud, while Steve Tzortzidis, former Director at Servian, steps into the position of Director of Data and AI.

Established in April 2023, V2 Digital has experienced rapid growth and currently houses a 40-member team that caters to brands across a range of sectors including retail, media, health, and property. The addition of Baldacchino and Tzortzidis to the leadership team is a significant step towards bolstering V2's cloud, data, and AI expertise.

V2 Digital's CEO, Craig Howe, expressed his confidence in the appointments: “As V2 Digital rapidly scales, we’re focusing on attracting and retaining those at the top of their game in the industry. Our mission is to accelerate advantage through data and AI, software, cloud and customer experience and I’m confident both Shane and Steve will be instrumental in ensuring we achieve this for our clients.”

In his new role, Baldacchino will be responsible for shaping and implementing the organisation's cloud strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring successful cloud adoption and delivery for V2's clients. Equipped with 24 years of experience in the IT industry, Baldacchino will harness his skills in building future-state architectures to bring about efficacious business outcomes.

Baldacchino states, “Cloud is an ever-changing paradigm, with new features unveiled daily. With battle scars working with multiple vendor clouds, I am passionate about how these features, coupled with the right behaviours can be leveraged to drive efficiencies in our customers’ tech stacks. Getting this right delivers value to businesses, accelerating their ROI.”

Steve Tzortzidis will be driving initiatives to help organisations unlock data, break down silos, and establish robust data platforms to meet the escalating demands of AI. With his experience as a Director at Servian and more than 15 years in the IT industry, he is well-positioned to provide solutions to the challenges of modern data platforms.

Speaking about his new role, Tzortzidis says, “Whether businesses thrive or don’t survive in the future will largely be determined by how they collect, analyse and leverage data. I am continuously intrigued by the profound insights that result from seamless technology integration, yet equally astonished by the missed opportunities businesses face by not effectively harnessing data. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share my expertise with the V2 team and accelerate our clients’ journey towards data-driven outcomes.”

Both appointments are based in Melbourne and have officially started their roles on Tuesday, 12 March, 2024. These strategic additions to the team underline V2 Digital's continued growth and commitment to providing effective data and digital solutions. The company, which has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, has received numerous accolades, among them being recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in Australia.
