Zerocap & Pier Two launch staking for institutional investors
Zerocap has chosen Pier Two to provide non-custodial staking services to institutional investors.
The arrangement enables Zerocap's clients to stake digital assets such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other Proof of Stake (PoS) tokens in order to earn staking rewards while maintaining full control over their assets. With Pier Two's infrastructure, Zerocap will offer annual percentage yields (APYs) ranging from 3% to 5% on Ethereum and 8% to 11% on Solana, based on recent monthly performance figures. Asset growth remains tied to prevailing market conditions.
The offering extends beyond ETH and SOL, with staking capability available for NEAR, POL, TON, and other digital currencies. This breadth seeks to provide clients with diversified exposure and returns that are less susceptible to market volatility.
Ryan McCall, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Zerocap, highlighted the dual nature of staking. He stated:
"Staking isn't just about yield, it's foundational infrastructure for blockchain security. We've taken this step at a time when many investors are seeking safer, more predictable returns as market conditions cool. Staking, which has almost exclusively been limited to individual investors, is now becoming increasingly viable for institutional investors as regulatory conditions mature. We chose Pier Two because our institutional clients deserve the best. This ensures they receive reliable staking rewards through infrastructure that meets the highest standards of security, uptime, and compliance."
Industry data indicates that 74.5% of SOL's total circulating supply and 29% of ETH are currently staked. This volume demonstrates the growing popularity of staking as a strategy for generating stable yield in the digital asset sector.
Zerocap's platform will support staking across multiple blockchains, offering institutional investors a way to manage risk and pursue stable returns as traditional market yields have declined. The new staking service offers integrated reporting and analytics, utilising leading custody infrastructure, such as Fireblocks, to provide clients with continuous and effective asset management.
Patrick McNab, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Pier Two, said:
"Zerocap has an incredible reputation as a deeply trusted investment platform, and we are delighted to provide Zerocap with best-in-class staking services. Zerocap's clients will be able to stake on leading Proof of Stake blockchains, contributing to network security, and benefit from Pier Two's high-performing infrastructure."
The introduction of this staking service sits alongside Zerocap's existing suite of institutional solutions, which include digital asset custody, trading, derivatives, treasury operations, and Web3 infrastructure capabilities.
Pier Two is an institutional staking services firm founded in Australia. Its operations use high-performance cloud and bare metal technology, and its certifications include ISO27001:2022, SOC 2 Type I, with SOC 2 Type II and NORS in ongoing audit.
