Originally disrupting the book retailing business, Amazon Web Services has since emerged as a world’s leader in the provision of ‘as a Service’ computing resources. With more than 200 services available covering infrastructure, platform, compute, storage and applications as a service, AWS solutions are provided from a network of 38 data centers around the world. A cluster of AWS data centres is planned for New Zealand, headquartered in Auckland, and likely to be online by 2024.
