Ansarada upgrades AiDA for prompt-first dealmaking

Ansarada has launched an updated version of its AiDA assistant for dealmaking teams, introducing a prompt-first approach within its virtual data room platform.

The update places AiDA at the centre of the interface through a redesigned navigation area. Users can ask questions directly about documents, due diligence, permissions, activity, Q&A and project information held in the platform.

Ansarada is presenting the change as a shift in how mergers and acquisitions teams work with transaction data. Instead of manually reviewing files, exporting reports and checking multiple sources, users can query information within the same environment where a deal is managed.

The assistant keeps transaction data within Ansarada's secure system rather than requiring users to move confidential material into external AI tools. For deal teams handling sensitive corporate information during due diligence and sale processes, that addresses a key concern.

What changed

The latest release adds prompt-first workflows across several parts of the platform. Users can ask questions about documents, folders, people, teams, permissions, activity and Q&A, with responses shaped by their existing room access and team permissions.

The update also includes document analysis features such as PDF summaries and the identification of information including parties, dates and monetary values. Ansarada has also added context-aware assistance designed to surface related questions and use earlier information to support response drafting.

Another element of the release is what Ansarada describes as role-aware security. According to the company, answers generated by AiDA reflect the user's room role, Q&A role and team permissions.

The release forms part of Ansarada's OS Bondi update. It also links Ask AiDA, data rooms, subscriptions and workflow tools through a more unified navigation experience.

Transaction use

Ansarada said the product has been designed for different users across the transaction process. Sell-side M&A teams can use it to prepare deals, handle buyer questions and monitor engagement, while buy-side teams can use it to streamline document review and identify risks earlier in diligence.

The company added that corporate development teams can use the system to track active opportunities, and private equity firms can apply it to investment assessment and portfolio-readiness work. Senior corporate leaders are also among the intended users, with access to shorter transaction summaries inside the platform.

Ansarada operates in the market for virtual data rooms and transaction software, where providers are increasingly adding AI tools to document-heavy workflows. Its platform has supported more than 60,000 transactions across 170 countries.

The company also said its customer base includes four of the Big Four and 85 companies in the ASX 100. Ansarada's software is used in M&A, capital raising, restructures and infrastructure procurement.

Justin Smith, Managing Director, Ansarada, said: "This Dealmaking, designed for the AI era is a shift from searching documents to asking documents - that's the change we're designing. Speed matters, but the bigger win is that teams spend less time digging for information and more time actually using their expertise. This isn't about AI replacing anyone. It's about giving deal teams control, a faster way to get answers and make decisions with confidence, without anything confidential leaving the secure environment the deal's already running in."
