Commerce said BigCommerce won all 24 available medals in Paradigm B2B's 2026 Combines for Digital Commerce Solutions. The result marks the fourth straight year of a clean sweep across the Midmarket and Enterprise editions.

The rankings cover 12 categories in each edition of the analyst assessment. BigCommerce improved its standing in the Enterprise report and won more gold medals than rival platforms in the Midmarket report.

Paradigm B2B's combines assess vendors across criteria including Vision & Strategy, Ability to Execute, Customer Service & Support, Partner Ecosystem and Total Cost of Ownership. Medals are awarded based on composite scores drawn from weighted criteria and customer feedback from partners and clients.

In the Midmarket edition, BigCommerce received 12 medals, including 10 gold, in Vision & Strategy, Ability to Execute, Customer Service & Support, Partner Ecosystem, Site Search, Sales & Channel Enablement, Total Cost of Ownership, Content & Data Management, Transaction Management and Promotions Management.

In the Enterprise edition, it also received 12 medals, including six gold in Vision & Strategy, Total Cost of Ownership, Site Search, Sales & Channel Enablement, Transaction Management and Promotions Management. The other six medals were silver.

The latest ranking comes as Commerce adds tools for business-to-business sellers managing complex pricing, procurement and back-office integration. The group highlighted an AI-based purchase order automation agent, cascading price lists with fallback logic and B2B webhooks for real-time updates.

These additions are intended to reduce manual work in order processing and pricing management, two areas that often create friction for manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers selling to trade buyers. BigCommerce's B2B offering also includes personalised catalogues, quotes and payment options, along with integrations with enterprise resource planning, product information management and customer relationship management systems.

Analyst view

Andy Hoar, Chief Executive Officer of Paradigm B2B, said BigCommerce strengthened its performance in both market segments.

"BigCommerce once again made its argument for being a leading platform for both enterprise and mid-market B2B companies," Hoar said.

"The company exhibited another strong performance in the Midmarket Combine, netting 10 gold medals. In 2026, BigCommerce made impressive gains in the Enterprise Edition by earning gold in six categories and silver across the remaining six. Customers consistently highlighted BigCommerce's deep commitment to B2B functionality, its robust partner ecosystem and its ability to handle the complex pricing, purchasing workflows and integrations that enterprise buyers demand," he said.

Commerce described the result as validation of its focus on trade commerce rather than consumer-style online retail. B2B sellers often require customer-specific pricing, negotiated payment terms, account hierarchies and integration with finance and fulfilment systems.

Lance Owide, Vice President of B2B Product Management at Commerce, said those requirements have shaped the company's product direction.

"B2B buyers don't shop like consumers. They run on intricate purchasing workflows, negotiated pricing and deep ERP integrations, and most platforms struggle with that complexity," Owide said.

"But at Commerce, we built for that complexity. From AI-driven PO automation to cascading price lists to our built-in CPQ, we're not adding features, we're eliminating the friction that holds B2B merchants back. The results in this Paradigm report validate what our customers already know: BigCommerce is built to accelerate B2B growth and streamline operations," he said.

Customer example

Commerce also pointed to Dunlop Golf Europe as an example of the type of business it serves through its B2B edition.

"At Dunlop Golf Europe, we operate across multiple countries, currencies, fulfilment locations and customer-specific pricing structures, so flexibility and scalability were critical requirements for our B2B platform," said Luke Claughton, Head of Information Technology at Dunlop Golf Europe.

"BigCommerce's B2B Edition has given us a platform capable of supporting that complexity at scale, improving operational efficiency and helping accelerate growth across our European business," Claughton said.

Commerce is the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics and Makeswift. Its latest Paradigm B2B result underlines how strongly the group is leaning into the business-to-business market as software vendors compete to serve merchants with more demanding operational needs.
