FuseSign has integrated its digital signing service with Content Snare for accounting firms that use Content Snare to collect client information and documents.

The integration lets firms send documents for signature through FuseSign from within a Content Snare request, combining document collection and signing in a single workflow. Users can collect client information, gather supporting files, and obtain signed approvals without moving between separate systems at each step.

Content Snare is used for onboarding, document collection, tax-related requests, and anti-money laundering processes, where work depends on receiving complete information from clients. Adding FuseSign keeps requests, uploaded files, and signed documents connected in the same sequence.

For practices that have relied on email exchanges or manual follow-up before sending signature requests separately, this reduces the need to download documents and move files between applications once client information has been gathered.

Workflow change

Accounting firms have been under pressure to streamline administrative work around onboarding, engagement documentation, and approvals, particularly as software vendors seek to connect specialist tools rather than replace them with a single platform. The integration reflects that trend by linking a document signing product built for accountants with a client information collection service used across several professional sectors.

"FuseSign has been one of our most requested integrations for a long time. Signing is a natural extension of what your clients are already doing in Content Snare, so I'm stoked it's now live. Your clients can answer your questions, upload documents, sign, and complete AML, all in one flow," said James Rose, Co-founder and CEO of Content Snare.

FuseSign said the link with Content Snare expands the network of applications its customers already connect to the signing service. It said 82% of its clients are connected to at least one other app, while 54% use two or more.

"Accounting firms are looking for more connected workflows across the tools they already use. We see that in the way our clients use FuseSign, with 82% connected to at least one other app and 54% using two or more. Content Snare is a valuable addition to that ecosystem, helping reduce the manual handling between collecting client information and getting documents signed," said Jon Melloy, Head of Partnerships & Marketing, FuseSign.

Sector focus

FuseSign traces its origins to the accounting sector. The business was founded by Melissa Voss and Scott Barber after their experience running a chartered accounting firm, where they encountered delays and inefficiencies in existing signing processes. The company positions its product around the needs of accountants and related professional services firms.

Content Snare began in the agency market after its founders identified client information gathering as a persistent source of delay. Founded in 2017 by James Rose and Mark Beljaars, the business later expanded into other sectors as customers in accounting, bookkeeping, legal, finance, and education adopted the product.

The accounting market has become a natural overlap between the two companies because firms often need to gather detailed client data, request supporting documents, and secure formal approvals in the same manner. Anti-money laundering checks and engagement acceptance procedures can add further steps that require clients to respond in sequence before work can continue.

Under the new setup, firms can activate the integration from the applications area inside Content Snare, then configure the signing email and add FuseSign as an external signing option within client requests. This places the signing stage within the same process teams already use to request information.

For software suppliers serving accounting practices, integrations of this kind have become a competitive feature as firms try to reduce the drag of switching between tools. Here, the emphasis is on keeping the client interaction together from the first request for information through to final signature.

Content Snare has said its users report a 71% decrease in time spent chasing clients for information, underscoring the commercial appeal of products that reduce administrative delays in client-facing work.
