Geoff Waters named Chief Revenue Officer at Barracuda Networks
Geoff Waters has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer at Barracuda Networks, a provider of cloud-first security solutions. In his new role, Waters will oversee worldwide sales and partnerships, aiming to stimulate growth in various global markets, including the Asia-Pacific region.
Hatem Naguib, President and CEO of Barracuda, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, highlighting Waters' track record in successfully leading sales teams and nurturing a growth mindset. With over 27 years of experience in managing global organisations for sales, partner ecosystems, and go-to-market strategies, Waters brings a wealth of expertise to Barracuda. Before joining Barracuda, he served as President of Americas Sales at Check Point Software. In this role, he managed the business across Canada, the United States, and Latin America.
Prior to his tenure at Check Point, Waters spent 13 years at VMware, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Global Channel Sales. At VMware, he was instrumental in building and leading go-to-market teams for various managed services and cloud businesses. His extensive history in the technology sector also includes leadership roles at other prominent security, cloud, and infrastructure companies.
Barracuda, recognised for its cloud-first security solutions, aims to leverage Waters' experience to amplify its global presence and enhance its partner ecosystem. The company has previously emphasised its commitment to making enterprise-grade security solutions accessible, claiming to protect over 200,000 organisations worldwide.
