JCDecaux Australia appoints Angus Leech to lead revenue

Wed, 4th Feb 2026

JCDecaux Australia has appointed Angus Leech to a newly created national role focused on revenue leadership.

Leech takes the title National Director - Revenue. He joins from the Australian Radio Network, where he served as National Sales Director.

JCDecaux said the new position adds a centralised approach to revenue leadership across the company's Australian operations. The company also said the role reflects a push for national consistency as the business expands.

John Harris, Chief Sales Officer, JCDecaux Australia, linked the appointment to broader changes in the market and the company's growth profile.

"As our business continues to grow and evolve, this role adds greater coordination to how we manage revenue leadership nationally. Angus brings deep media experience and a strong track record in sales leadership, strengthening our ability to respond to market conditions and support our clients effectively. I am looking forward to working with him as we embrace the many opportunities that 2026 presents," said John Harris, Chief Sales Officer, JCDecaux Australia.

Career background

Leech has held senior sales leadership roles at the Australian Radio Network for more than a decade, including the National Sales Director post. Before ARN, he worked in senior commercial roles at LivingSocial and News Corp Australia.

JCDecaux said his background spans media sales, commercial operations and strategic partnerships. The company said his experience covers traditional and digital platforms, as well as national work with agencies and advertisers.

Leech said he viewed the move as an opportunity to work in out-of-home advertising at a time when advertisers and agencies place greater focus on the channel in media planning.

"JCDecaux has a long-standing reputation for quality, scale and leadership in Out-of-Home. As the channel continues to play an increasingly central role in media strategies, the opportunity to join a business with this depth of capability and focus on effectiveness was a clear decision for me," said Leech.

National remit

The company framed the role as part of a broader national approach, rather than a state-by-state structure. JCDecaux has not set out detailed reporting lines for the new position, beyond its description of a national revenue leadership remit.

The appointment lands as media owners continue to adjust sales and commercial operations in response to advertiser demand, shifting channel mixes and pressure on marketing budgets. Out-of-home operators have also expanded their use of digital screens in major metropolitan markets, which has changed how inventory gets sold and packaged.

JCDecaux operates across street furniture, large-format and transport-related out-of-home assets in Australia. The company sells advertising inventory to agencies and direct advertisers.

Leech starts in the role immediately.
