JobAdder appoints AI expert Joel Delmaire as new CPO
JobAdder has announced the appointment of Joel Delmaire as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO). Delmaire, who has previously held prominent roles at Workpath, SEEK, and Delivery Hero, will lead the company's advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) for recruitment.
Joel Delmaire brings with him extensive experience in the tech industry. His career includes positions such as the CPO for Munich-based Workpath and the Head of Product for Artificial Intelligence at SEEK, a leading employment marketplace. His work at SEEK involved developing AI-driven products like Search, Recommendations, and Marketplace Efficiency across eight markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
The recruitment sector, like many others, has faced significant challenges in the current economic climate. JobAdder aims to leverage AI to enhance efficiencies in the recruitment process, thereby supporting recruiters in their efforts to reduce administrative tasks and identify growth opportunities. With Delmaire's appointment, the company plans to establish itself as a leader in AI-powered recruitment.
On his new role, Delmaire stated, "It's exciting to contribute to the next phase of JobAdder's product journey. What attracted me to JobAdder is its culture of collaboration, a clear drive to do the right thing by our customers, and a clear ambition to improve the whole industry. I've always looked for opportunities to create positive change through technology and people, and I'm confident JobAdder has built an environment that will enable me to do that. Ultimately, it's all about building and empowering teams of motivated, high-performance individuals to do their best, and I'm really excited about achieving this with JobAdder."
JobAdder has been strategically enhancing its AI functionalities, including AI Skill Matching and AI Job Descriptions. These tools are designed to help recruitment and talent professionals increase productivity and navigate the changing market. Delmaire will spearhead the development and implementation of these AI-driven products.
The company intends to focus on customer-centric product design, which aims to better understand and meet users' needs through emerging technologies like AI. Under Delmaire's leadership, JobAdder's development, marketing, sales, and customer success teams will collaborate more closely. This alignment is expected to have a significant impact on the company's overall business strategy.
"We've been hiring for this role for an extended period of time. Our vision for AI is lofty, and we needed the right person with the right expertise for the role. When we met Joel, it was clear that our thinking was aligned, and we shared a mutual mission to push the boundaries in recruitment technology," said Martin Herbst, CEO at JobAdder. "The depth of his track record in AI, product, and recruitment is rare, and he brings invaluable experience to accelerate JobAdder's journey. With his visionary approach, we're confident that he will play a pivotal role in advancing our product strategy and the next phase of JobAdder's growth."
Delmaire's background in AI spans more than a decade, and his expertise dates back to a period before the technology became mainstream. His history of building high-performing teams and driving product and AI strategies will be instrumental in helping JobAdder refine its approach through focused beta testing and customer research. By continuously iterating and measuring impact, the company aims to address customers' biggest pain points more effectively.
JobAdder's announcement of Delmaire's appointment underscores its commitment to innovation and customer-focused design. As the recruitment industry continues to evolve, the company is positioning itself to meet new challenges and opportunities through advanced AI solutions.
