Paul Duggan appointed CEO of Money.com.au, replacing McGowan

Paul Duggan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Money.com.au, taking over from founder Shaun McGowan who will remain as a strategic advisor.

Paul Duggan will focus on expanding the company's digital platform and enhancing consumer support to facilitate easier access to financial products for Australians. Money.com.au is recognised as a significant player within Australia's fintech, loan marketplace, and comparison sectors. The timing of Duggan's appointment coincides with the company widening its market footprint in the area of home loans and additional financial services.

Paul Duggan joins with over two decades of experience in global leadership positions, having previously served as CEO of another financial comparison site, Canstar Gold. His background includes senior roles at Shine Lawyers and Auto & General, where he has accumulated experience across the financial services, insurance, and technology industries in markets such as Australia, Sweden, France, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Shaun McGowan, founder of Money.com.au, reflects on his decision to appoint Duggan: "My passion has always been starting businesses and building them from the ground up — taking them from zero to one.
