Mon, 8th Sep 2025

Middlebank Consulting Group has appointed Philip Walsh as an Associate.

Philip Walsh returns to Middlebank Consulting Group (MCG) after beginning his career with the consultancy, bringing substantial experience in finance, operations, sales, and business transformation.

Walsh's most recent position was as Chief Commercial Officer at Supply Chain Solutions NZ, where he managed financial and sales functions, led merger and acquisition activities with NZ Post, and delivered financial literacy programmes to more than 300 employees. His earlier tenure as Chief Financial Officer saw him expand reporting systems, implement pricing strategies post-pandemic, and secure recurring revenue exceeding NZD $20 million through key negotiations.

His career features expertise in ERP implementation, pricing strategy, governance and business consulting across a range of industries.

Reflecting on his new role, Walsh said:

"I am delighted to be returning to MCG in this new capacity. Having spent my career at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, I look forward to applying that experience to help clients unlock new opportunities, strengthen their supply chains, and achieve long-term, sustainable growth."

Middlebank Consulting Group was established in New Zealand over 25 years ago and expanded its presence into Australia in 2003, Singapore and India in 2016, the USA in 2022, and more recently, the Middle East. The consultancy is known for its work in supply chain and value chain management and has collaborated with over 150 client organisations from diverse sectors in more than 12 countries.

Alan Win, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Middlebank Consulting Group, welcomed Walsh's return, stating:

"Philip's breadth of expertise and proven leadership will be a tremendous asset to MCG and our clients. His ability to combine financial insight with operational execution aligns strongly with our focus on practical, strategic solutions for complex business challenges."

In his new role, Walsh will deliver strategic consulting services across finance, operations, and fourth-party logistics (4PL), focusing on helping organisations enhance performance, manage risk, and unlock value within their supply chains.

Across its history, MCG has worked with organisations aiming to improve logistics and supply chain operations, achieving reduced operational costs for clients by an average of 15% through its interventions. The group has also implemented a range of technology-based solutions designed to promote supply chain efficiency.

MCG's team currently holds over 225 years of combined sector experience and remains active across its established markets in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, India, the USA, and the Middle East.
