Revolut launches local EUR accounts for Australians

Fri, 28th Mar 2025

Revolut has announced the launch of local EUR accounts for its Business and Retail customers in Australia.

This new offering allows Australian customers to establish local EUR accounts, facilitating swift payments and aiming to include more currencies in the future. The accounts enable Revolut Business customers operating across various markets, as well as Retail customers who travel globally, to receive EUR transfers locally, which can lead to potential savings in time and finances.

Revolut continues to enhance its domestic payment capabilities for its business clientele, integrating features like BPAY, along with expanding into broader wealth and digital services, including cryptocurrency trading.

James Roberts-Thomson, Head of Revolut Business in Australia, stated, "We're committed to making all things money, easier and cheaper for Australians. With today's launch, all Business and Retail customers can receive payments just like a local in Europe, and experience unprecedented speed and reliability. We're excited to be able to continue introducing cutting-edge features to the Australian market which help our customers better manage their finances and get more from their money."

Since its Australian launch in 2023, Revolut Business has offered a range of features aimed at facilitating a global business approach for local companies.
