Scott Jones becomes new Chief Revenue Officer at Fivetran

Scott Jones, a former executive from SAP, Tableau and Alteryx, has been named as the new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for global data integration leader Fivetran. Alongside his 25 years of SaaS leadership and enterprise sales knowledge, Jones is set to bring a wealth of valuable experience to the Oakland-based company.

Fivetran announced the key appointment on 5th December 2023, highlighting that Jones' responsibilities will include overseeing all company activities related to revenue generation, such as operations, sales, marking, and pricing. Jones has served in key roles at high-growth companies, such as SAP, Alteryx, and Tableau - places where he accumulated over two decades of enterprise sales and management experience.

Taylor Brown, Fivetran's COO to whom Jones will report, expressed his anticipation for Jones' future with Fivetran: "Scott has the strategic vision, proven leadership capabilities and the extensive data industry expertise that will be a huge asset as we continue to grow. Scott understands the critical importance the Fivetran data movement platform has for enterprises expanding their generative AI capabilities and the leadership skills to drive his team to deliver their best work. We're thrilled to have him join us."

Scott Jones maintains a reputation as a recognised data industry leader. In addition to his appointment at Fivetran, he also currently serves as a board member for several rapidly growing SaaS companies, including Siteimprove, Vizrt, Leadspace, and Peak. Previous professional roles include CEO of data and analytics platform, Incorta, as well as President and CRO at Alteryx where he drove revenue growth from $85M to $500M in four years. Jones has also spent significant time at SAP as COO of the Database and Technology Division and held various sales leadership roles at Business Objects. His tenure includes key positions at E.piphany, Group 1 Software and Dun & Bradstreet as well.

Jones, who graduated with a bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico and also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, shared his excitement about joining Fivetran: "Fivetran has set the standard for data integration and is the leading data platform for businesses of all sizes.
