Tricentis unveils cloud features to boost Tosca automation

Today

Tricentis has introduced new cloud features for its software testing solution, Tosca, intended to enhance test automation capabilities for large enterprises.

The enhancement allows enterprises to shift their testing processes to the cloud, offering benefits such as increased flexibility and scalability while reducing reliance on internal infrastructure.

The cloud-based capabilities are aimed at organisations requiring quality assurance across complex applications and business workflows.

The cloud transition for Tosca aligns with current industry trends towards greater cloud adoption and digital transformation, addressing the demand for flexible and infrastructure-independent testing environments. Key features introduced include the Cloud Commander interface for managing test cases, API simulation for early-stage testing, and forthcoming Cloud Agents for running tests without internal infrastructure.

The Cloud Commander feature offers a fully cloud-capable interface, enabling users to author, edit, and manage test cases in the cloud, thus minimising dependence on on-premises systems. Meanwhile, the API simulation feature is designed to accelerate the development cycle by allowing users to simulate key components early in the testing process. Additionally, the ability to transition tests to the cloud in bulk enhances the efficiency of developing test libraries.

Tricentis plans to introduce Cloud Agents, which facilitate "zero-footprint execution" of tests on Tricentis's infrastructure, using the Elastic Execution Grid to further enhance testing scalability and efficiency.

"By bringing the power of Tosca to the cloud, we're reinforcing Tricentis' dedication to delivering innovative, cloud-based solutions designed to meet the needs of modern, fast-paced software teams," said Mav Turner, Tricentis Chief Product and Strategy Officer.

"This release redefines how teams approach test automation, making it simpler and faster to adapt to changing business needs. These advancements enable enterprises to meet quality demands at speed, giving teams the tools to stay competitive and ensure their critical applications and business processes meet the highest standards of quality."

The new model for Tosca includes deployment options across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments, all under a single subscription framework.

This model not only simplifies access to enhancements but also eliminates the need for on-premises upgrades of Tosca's components.

With these new updates, Tricentis aims to provide comprehensive risk coverage for enterprise organisations' essential business processes, integrating critical assessment tools across their application infrastructure.
