Yuno has raised USD $45 million in a Series B funding round led by Global PayTech Ventures.

The funding will support research and development, product expansion and the build-out of Yuno's global payments infrastructure as it moves towards profitability.

Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, QuantumLight Capital, Monashees, Kaszek and Endeavor Catalyst joined the round, alongside regional investors Rasmal Ventures, Further Ventures and GrowthX Capital.

Founded in Colombia in 2022, Yuno sells payments and financial services infrastructure to merchants, banks and digital wallets. It says it is on track to process USD $100 billion in annual transaction volume within the next 12 months and counts McDonald's, NetEase Games, GoFundMe, inDrive and Rappi among its customers.

Its platform connects businesses through a single API to more than 1,000 payment methods and more than 460 integrations across over 190 countries. It also offers tools including payment routing, checkout, fraud detection, pay-ins, payouts, and KYC and KYB services.

Over the past year, Yuno says it recovered more than USD $5 billion in transaction volume that would otherwise have failed for merchants on its network. During the same period, it says it improved authorisation rates by about 5% and saved customers more than USD $500 million in processing costs.

The business has also expanded the number of connections on its network. Over the past year, it added 150 new integrations and broadened local market coverage across every continent, according to Yuno.

Use of funds

Part of the new capital will go towards expanding Yuno's product range into in-person payments and further developing what it describes as agentic commerce. It also plans to increase its presence in the United States and continue building relationships with banks and payment providers that use its technology under their own brands.

Those partnerships already include dLocal and Prosa, Mexico's largest payments processing network. Yuno says these arrangements allow a single contract to serve an entire market.

Gaming is one sector where Yuno says its model is being tested at scale, as publishers launch titles to players across multiple markets simultaneously and must accept a wide range of local payment methods. It argues that a single integration can help merchants capture more sales in those situations.

Middle East push

The investor list also reflects Yuno's recent expansion in the Gulf. Earlier this year, Yuno Payments Arabia received Payment Technical Service Provider certification from the Saudi Central Bank, according to the company.

It has also partnered with Tap Payments to access local payment rails, including Mada, KNET, and NAPS, across the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Another partnership with buy-now-pay-later provider Tabby gives it access to a service used by more than 25 million shoppers across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

ACI Worldwide has ranked the Middle East as the world's fastest-growing real-time payments market, providing added context for Yuno's push into the region.

"Most companies raise a Series B to buy growth. We're raising ours to meet our customers' growth, and extend our lead, with a clear line to profitability in the year ahead," said Juan Pablo Ortega, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yuno.

"AI has changed the economics of building this company. We grow faster and operate leaner than the generation of infrastructure players before us. Being local everywhere is the hardest problem in payments, and anyone starting on it today is at least two years behind. With this round we intend to consolidate that leadership on a truly global scale, with real financial discipline," Ortega said.

Rasmal Ventures said Yuno's local payments model was a strong fit for the Gulf market.

"The hardest problem in payments is being genuinely local everywhere, and Yuno has solved it at global scale, which is exactly why it resonates in our region," said Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje, Partner at Rasmal Ventures.

"The Gulf is now one of the fastest-growing payments markets in the world, and its future runs along the region's new trade corridors, the same wallets, rails, and shoppers Yuno already connects. We invested because Juan Pablo and his team are building the infrastructure those corridors need, and because they pair that global ambition with real financial discipline. That combination is rare, and it's precisely what we back," Dridje said.

Javier Perez, Managing Partner at Global PayTech Ventures and a Yuno board member, said he had watched the company broaden its international payments offering since joining the board.

"Since joining Yuno's board last fall, I've seen firsthand how Juan Pablo and his team are redefining payments infrastructure. Yuno combines global reach, local intelligence and AI-driven execution to help customers expand internationally, increase authorisation rates, reduce costs and scale faster. I'm proud to support the team as it builds a leading global payments infrastructure company," Perez said.
