Zadara completes IRAP process, expands availability in Australia
Tue, 6th Feb 2024

Zadara, the globally recognised edge cloud provider, has successfully completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) process, complying with Information Security Manual Protected level controls. This completion corresponds with Zadara's Australian expansion, as it introduces a new availability zone in Melbourne.

Administered by the Australian Cyber Security Centre, the IRAP serves as a crucial framework endorsing both private and public sector to provide cybersecurity assessment services to the Australian government. Through the completion of this assessment, Zadara not only demonstrates compliance with the program's stringent standards, but also affirms its commitment to delivering secure cloud services for companies providing services to the Australian government. Additionally, this successful assessment augments Zadara's list of existing certifications which include SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO27001, ISO27017, ISO27018, ISO27701, HIPAA, and EU GDPR.

"Zadara's IRAP Protected designation will give Australian government agencies more options when looking for services to securely build modern applications in the cloud," stated Paul Bennett, Sales Director at Zadara. He continued, "With our new availability zone in Melbourne, we aim to expand and introduce additional Edge Clouds in numerous Australian cities this year. Zadara is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of the Australian cloud market and takes pride in assisting governments globally by offering sovereign, secure private clouds."

This IRAP-assessed cloud solution from Zadara presents several key benefits. From a cost containment perspective, Zadara's services automate user access, ensuring an efficient and secure handling of sensitive information. Verification and authorisation is simplified, as users can be easily validated to confirm authorised access, assuring the security and compliance of government systems. Moreover, against the backdrop of rising cyber threats to government networks and critical infrastructure, Zadara is a pivotal component of a modern identity security strategy.

With established locations in Sydney and Melbourne, Zadara provides more than 500 Edge Clouds globally, proffering advanced compute, storage, and networking services. This global outreach, combined with innovative and secure solutions, allows Zadara to stand as a favourable choice for secure, efficient, and cost-effective cloud services.

Since 2011, Zadara's Edge Cloud simplifies operational complexity through automated end-to-end infrastructure provisioning of compute, storage and network resources. Zadara Edge Cloud users are supported by Zadara's team of cloud experts and backed by our 100% SLA guarantee.
