Affinity MSP has been ranked the highest Australian managed services provider on the 2026 Channel Futures MSP 501 Index, placing 69th globally on the annual list.

The result puts Affinity MSP among the better-known managed service providers recognised by Channel Futures, which assesses providers on measures including growth, operational performance and customer outcomes.

Swoop, which supplies connectivity services to Affinity MSP, used the result to highlight the role of network infrastructure in delivering managed services to business customers across Australia. It said reliable connectivity has become a core part of how providers support clients' day-to-day technology operations.

The ranking also gives Affinity MSP a notable position among Australian technology services firms competing internationally. Managed services providers have become an important layer in the business technology market as companies outsource functions such as network management, security oversight and systems support.

Swoop Chief Revenue Officer David Michaels said the ranking reflected the value of close commercial relationships between infrastructure providers and managed services companies.

"At Swoop, we believe the best outcomes are achieved through trusted partnerships and a shared commitment to helping businesses succeed. Affinity MSP's recognition is incredibly well deserved and reflects the calibre of the team, their relentless focus on customers and the high standards they've consistently delivered," Michaels said.

He added that connectivity remains central to the services businesses now expect from technology suppliers.

"Reliable connectivity underpins everything modern businesses rely on today. We're proud to support Affinity MSP with the infrastructure that enables them to deliver exceptional managed services, and it's fantastic to see an Australian business recognised among the world's leading providers. This is a milestone the broader technology industry can be proud of," he said.

Partner backing

Affinity MSP linked the ranking to its customer relationships and the broader supplier network behind its operations, saying the recognition reflected the contribution of the wider technology ecosystem in which it operates.

Affinity MSP Chief Executive Officer Nick Ower said the result mattered because of what it said about client trust and delivery standards.

"Being recognised as the highest-ranked Australian MSP and among the top managed service providers globally is an incredible achievement for our team. More importantly, it's recognition of the trust our clients place in us every day and the commitment of our people to delivering outstanding outcomes," Ower said.

He also pointed to Swoop's role in supporting the company's service delivery.

"We see this as more than an Affinity MSP success. It's also recognition of the strength of the ecosystem around us, including partners like Swoop. Reliable connectivity is fundamental to everything we deliver, and Swoop has been an important partner in helping us provide the performance, resilience and customer experience our clients expect. We're proud of what we've achieved together and look forward to continuing to build on that partnership," he said.

Sector signal

The ranking comes as managed services firms face rising expectations from customers seeking dependable outsourced technology support. Businesses increasingly rely on external providers not only for maintenance and connectivity, but also for resilience, uptime and service continuity across distributed operations.

That has increased the importance of wholesale and telecommunications partners in the managed services supply chain. For providers such as Affinity MSP, network access and stability can shape client service quality as much as software tools or support staff.

Swoop said its wholesale NBN network is part of that model. The company operates across residential, business and wholesale telecommunications in Australia, with mobile and broadband services sold under the Swoop and Moose brands.

Swoop Chief Technology Officer Tom Berryman described the outcome as evidence of the partnership's practical value.

"Affinity MSP is exactly the kind of partner we love working with, using our wholesale NBN network to power great outcomes for their customers. Wins like this reinforce why we keep investing in our platform," Berryman said.
