DXC Technology, a global technology services provider, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing STEM education through a variety of international initiatives.

The company's programmes aim to enhance diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields, recognising the vital role these skills play in progressing technological innovation and addressing modern digital challenges. With over 125,000 employees in more than 60 countries, DXC leverages its expertise to mentor and inspire young talent, providing essential resources for success in the technology sector.

Kristie Grinnell, Chief Information Officer of DXC Technology and a board member of STEM For Her, stated, "To innovate and ideate the best solutions for our colleagues and clients, we need to set an inclusive and diverse table where all voices are welcome. We believe having a diverse and inclusive workplace culture is integral to our success and a foundation for achieving our business goals. We're committed to investing globally to ensure we're supporting programs that advance STEM education and access for all."

DXC Technology has implemented a variety of initiatives to meet these objectives. The DXC Digital Futures Academy, in partnership with the Manchester United Foundation, offers STEM and personal development training for secondary students and has expanded its reach to Glasgow. The programme focuses on essential technology skills such as virtual reality and coding.

The DXC Dandelion Programme provides meaningful employment opportunities for neurodiverse individuals in technology fields, addressing skill gaps in areas like data analytics, software automation, and cybersecurity. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, this programme commenced in Australia and now extends to several countries, including New Zealand, the UK, and Italy.

The Digital Futures Programme supports communities by refurbishing and distributing technology devices, offering computer literacy training, and providing STEM education. Over the past four years, it has impacted the lives of over 24,000 individuals across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.

In the UK, the STEM Ambassadors Programme involves volunteers conducting activities that engage students with STEM subjects. Additionally, DXC is fostering digital literacy through its Building a Digital Workforce initiative, which involves collaboration with academic institutions to create curriculums and internships aimed at overcoming ICT skills shortages.

Other significant programmes include The DXC Code Challenge in Portugal and DXC Iberia Codes in Spain, which engage students aged 7 to 15 in programming competitions, and Girls in IT, based in Brazil, which empowers young women for careers in technology.

These initiatives reflect DXC's commitment to improving societal outcomes and enhancing diversity and inclusion through technology, while making sustainable community impacts.
