Revolut launches Ultra plan in Australia for users

Mon, 15th Jun 2026 (Today)

Revolut has launched its Ultra plan in Australia, targeting more than 1 million of its customers in the country.

The new top-tier offering sits above Revolut's existing Plus, Premium and Metal tiers. It includes a platinum-plated debit card, travel benefits, subscription bundles, and access to investment products, and is priced at AUD $99.99 per month or AUD $999 per year.

The launch comes as Australian consumers have shifted towards rewards products that offer more predictable value from everyday spending. Revolut is positioning Ultra around debit card use rather than traditional credit card rewards structures.

Customers on the plan earn one RevPoint for every AUD $1 spent on eligible debit purchases. The points can be redeemed across 44 airline loyalty programmes and used to purchase gift cards from brands including Woolworths, Uber, Amazon and Big W.

The package includes more than AUD $6,000 in annual subscription benefits across 14 services, including ClassPass, NordVPN and Super Duolingo.

Travel is another central part of the offer. Ultra users get access to more than 1,400 airport lounges worldwide, unlimited airport fast track at more than 180 airports, fee-free foreign exchange across 41 currencies and 3GB of global eSIM data each month in more than 100 countries.

The plan also raises transaction and withdrawal limits. Ultra customers can make unlimited international transfers without additional fees and withdraw up to AUD $3,500 a month from domestic and overseas ATMs without Revolut fees.

Investment push

Alongside travel and rewards, Revolut is using the launch to highlight its investment services in Australia. Ultra customers receive 10 commission-free stock trades a month, lower dealing fees on US stocks and exchange-traded funds, and access to precious metals and more than 225 crypto tokens.

For US stocks and ETFs, fees start at 0.12%, with a minimum of AUD $1.99. Precious metals fees start at 0.49%, with a minimum of AUD $1.99, while crypto fees start at 0.49% and can fall to 0% for higher-volume traders.

Revolut says the plan offers up to AUD $9,000 in annual value across rewards, subscriptions and travel perks. The 17g card issued with the account is platinum-plated.

Revolut now serves more than 75 million customers globally and has more than 1 million users in Australia. The Ultra launch is another attempt to deepen relationships with existing customers by moving them to higher-value subscription products.

The strategy reflects a broader push across fintech and digital banking to generate recurring revenue through membership tiers rather than relying solely on transaction income. Premium account bundles have become a more common way to combine travel, foreign exchange, rewards, and investing into a single subscription.

In Australia, that creates more direct competition not only with digital finance rivals but also with incumbent banks and card issuers that have traditionally dominated the market for points-based spending products. Revolut's approach differs by centring on a debit card, with loyalty rewards tied to eligible spending rather than credit balances.

Matt Baxby, Chief Executive Officer of Revolut Australia, set out the company's case for the product in a statement accompanying the launch.

"Australians are true global citizens and they deserve a financial product that matches their ambitions and delivers tangible benefits on their everyday spending. With recent headlines dominated by major point devaluations and shrinking reward availability from local loyalty programs, we aren't just launching another card; we're giving Australians a product that genuinely earns its place in their wallet every single day.

"By combining world-class travel perks with an elite subscription package, we are challenging the status quo and redefining the premium financial experience in Australia. It's the perfect tool for Aussies who want more from their money, their investments, and their everyday experiences - all housed within the convenience of the Revolut app," said Baxby.
