Wed, 28th Jan 2026

Shuttlerock has rolled out Workday across its international operations as it tightens finance processes and compliance controls amid continued expansion.

The New Zealand-headquartered creative technology company said it wanted a single system for finance and people data across a growing multi-entity structure. Shuttlerock has more than 300 employees across 11 offices on five continents.

Workday said Shuttlerock uses its platform to standardise finance processes, reduce manual work and consolidate reporting across jurisdictions. The deployment also covers HR and people management.

Expansion pressures

Shuttlerock works with global brands on digital creative production. The company said rapid growth increased operational and compliance demands across its footprint. It pointed to the need for more consistent processes and better visibility across entities.

Shuttlerock selected Workday as it sought to unify finance and HR in one platform. The company also cited requirements around managing multiple entities and access to real-time data for decision-making.

Workday said Shuttlerock has standardised and digitised finance processes. It said this reduced manual tasks and changed how teams spend their time.

It also mentioned that the platform improved visibility and consistency across entities. Workday linked that to lower risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Workday said Shuttlerock consolidated data into one platform. It said this delivered richer insights and faster reporting.

AI features

The companies also highlighted Workday's embedded AI features. Shuttlerock said it is exploring how those features fit into its operations.

Workday described a single data model across finance and people data. It said this structure supports automation and analytics. It also said it reduces manual effort and improves accuracy. Workday also said it avoids new governance or security risks.

Shuttlerock linked this to its approach to growth and oversight across markets. Workday said the approach maintained transparency and control across a global footprint.

"The end-to-end efficiencies we are driving with Workday are vital to our growth," said Guillem Bonavia, Chief Financial Officer, Shuttlerock. "Workday has set us up for success as our diverse and global footprint continues to expand. It enables us to operate with greater control, reduce risk, and make more data-driven decisions that support the business at scale."

Regional customer base

Workday is expanding its customer base in New Zealand and Australia across private sector and public sector organisations. The company positioned Shuttlerock as part of a wider group adopting common finance and people management systems.

"Shuttlerock is a leading example of how innovative, high-growth companies are using technology to stay agile and compliant as they expand globally," said Jonathan Brabant, Regional Sales Director, Workday New Zealand. "By bringing finance and HR together on one intelligent platform, Workday helps organisations like Shuttlerock drive efficiency, strengthen governance, and unlock value through trusted insight and AI innovation."

Workday also has the Fitness & Lifestyle Group as another regional customer. The group operates brands including Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs, Jetts Fitness in New Zealand and Thailand, Zap Fitness, and Barry's. It employs more than 6,000 people and has more than 600,000 members.

Workday said Fitness & Lifestyle Group selected the platform to modernise HR and financial operations across Asia Pacific. It said the group wanted a system that could support expansion and simplify operations across multiple countries. Workday said the group will use the platform for recruiting and onboarding at scale and for real-time visibility across brands and locations.

In New Zealand's public sector, Workday said Fire and Emergency New Zealand selected Workday Human Capital Management. Workday said the organisation will use it for workforce management changes across paid staff and volunteers. Workday said Fire and Emergency New Zealand prioritised user adoption for a geographically dispersed workforce.

Workday's other customers in Australia and New Zealand include Telstra, Transurban, Genesis Energy, Hungry Jacks, Deakin University, RMIT, Salvation Army, and the Whittlesea and Ipswich Councils.

Shuttlerock said the Workday rollout gives it a platform for ongoing growth as its international footprint expands.
